About Richard Spezzano

Richard Spezzano was born in New York and currently lives in the Pennsylvania Pocono Mountains. His former career as an art director and senior fashion designer helped him develop an eye for color, composition and style. He was encouraged to enter an art contest and was honored when the arts council presented him with an award for his piece titled "Cocktails". He later was accepted by a jury to become a member of ARTSPACE Gallery in Pennsylvania.

Spezzano is currently the VP Creative Director of Green Leaf Production where he uses his artistic talent to produce TV Commercials, training videos and promotional videos. He also is the owner of the web design company, SpezMedia, the elected Director of ARTSPACE Gallery and a board member on the Pocono Arts Council.

Artist Statement

" My art does not attempt to exactly reproduce the real world. It suggests a new look at the world by revealing and concealing lines, reflections and color. This allows the viewer to look at a piece repeatedly with a fresh eye. Art is one of life’s amazing tools. It can evoke thought, spark the imagination, motivate creativity and simply make someone smile. We all have this power inside us waiting to surface. As an artist, I am inspired by everything from man's massive architecture to nature's delicate flowers. My goal is to capture these items and bring them into a new light in the hopes of stirring emotion and conversation." _Richard Spezzano
