Art to me is the language of life. I try to capture the essence of creation as I see it.

I’m basically a plein-air painter who tries to portray the way light effects color in landscapes , and flowers I work in oils
with a palette knife and more recently in pastels using the same color theory.

In the last few years I have become interested in mixed media and collage art forms which are primarily created in the studio using more abstract ideas.

My art career history began in my early years when I designed and sewed my own clothing .Then it extended to and through my 49 years in the work force , first in advertising and then in 25 years of teaching.

I began painting in oil on weekends and summers in the Poconos in my twenties and developed a great love for the mountains and streams of Pennsylvania as well as for the wild flowers that were so abundant before the landscape was developed. In the last six years since my retirement from teaching I have finally had the freedom to explore many
different mixed media art effects that can be created along with plein –air painting.
